Issues:
1.Safety- crime in our town is rapidly increasing yet public safety is not.
2.Spending- spending is out of control. The town is making purchases it cannot afford and bailouts it should be staying out of.
3.Special interest groups- these groups have united to do what is best for themselves and not the people of Apple Valley.
Platform:
1.Safety- Support our public safety services by spending more of the towns budget on keeping the
people of Apple Valley safe and less of the towns budget on the “Good Old Boys” golf course
or other special interest purchases.
2.Spending- Phillips believes in a balance budget and will work tirelessly with the town to
achieve it. David Phillips opposes bailouts of private enterprise and is a firm believer in
fiscal responsibility, transparency, and accountability to the people.
3.Special interest groups-David Phillips' youth will bring fresh conservative ideas to the
council prioritizing public safety, parks, youth activities, and maintaining property values.
Phillips will not tolerate the status quo or sell out to special interest groups.
